These terms explain what happens when you browse the website or buy artwork, books or other products from me. The language may occasionally smile at you, but the important bits are meant seriously.

Throughout these terms, “PLAY”, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Patrycja Lucyna Altyńska trading through the PLAY / Godass creative universe.
Every effort is made to describe artworks and products accurately, including dimensions, materials, edition status and condition where relevant. Original and handmade work is gloriously human. Texture, irregularities, brush marks, assemblage elements and other variations may be intentional parts of the artwork rather than defects. Colours can also appear slightly different from screen to screen.
If something you receive is faulty, damaged, materially different from its description or otherwise does not meet your statutory rights, please contact me. Nothing in these terms removes or limits your legal consumer rights.
Prices are shown on the website in the currency displayed at checkout. Any delivery charges will be shown before you complete your purchase where applicable. An order is accepted once payment has been successfully processed and you receive confirmation. If an obvious pricing or listing error has occurred, I may contact you before fulfilling the order and offer you the choice of proceeding at the correct price or receiving a full refund.
Where an artwork is described as an original, it is a unique physical work unless clearly stated otherwise. Where a work is part of a limited edition, edition information will be stated in the listing where applicable. Buying a physical artwork gives you ownership of that physical piece. It does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights unless this has been agreed separately in writing.
Orders will be prepared and dispatched within the timeframe shown at purchase or subsequently agreed with you. Unless another delivery period has been agreed, UK consumer rules generally require goods bought at a distance to be delivered within 30 days.
Large, fragile or unusual artworks may require specialist delivery, collection or individually agreed arrangements. Please make sure the delivery details you provide are correct.
Please inspect artwork and products when they arrive.
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, photograph:

This helps me work out what happened and, where relevant, raise a claim with the courier.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
For many goods bought online, UK consumers have a legal right to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.
If that right applies to your purchase, contact play@godass.org clearly stating that you wish to cancel.
You may be responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods unless the item is faulty, incorrect or I have agreed otherwise. Goods should be returned with reasonable care and suitable protective packaging.
The usual change-of-mind cancellation rules may not apply to goods made specifically to your requirements or clearly personalised for you. This is particularly relevant to Commission PLAY artworks.
Commissioned work has its own terms, which you should read and agree to before the commission begins. Your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements are not affected.
Some buttons on this website may take you to another retailer, such as Amazon or another bookseller.
Where you complete your purchase directly with another retailer, your purchase contract is with that retailer and their terms, delivery and returns policies apply.
PLAY’s work often celebrates texture, found materials, imperfection, intuition and happy accidents.
An intentional artistic feature is not automatically a defect because it is irregular, distressed, asymmetrical or delightfully unwilling to behave like something made by a machine.
But if something genuinely arrives damaged or is materially different from what you purchased, please tell me.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all artwork, photography, text, designs, graphics, logos and other original material on this website remain protected by applicable intellectual property law.
You may enjoy them, share links to them and tell your friends.
Please do not reproduce, commercially exploit, manufacture from, alter, mint, license, sell copies of, or use my artwork or imagery for commercial purposes without written permission.
Purchase of an original artwork transfers ownership of the physical object, not its copyright.
I do my best to keep information accurate and current, but website content may occasionally contain errors or become out of date.
Availability of artwork can change, particularly because many works are one-offs.
Nothing on the website should be treated as medical, psychological, financial or other professional advice.
PLAY and Godass sometimes use language about synchronicity, intention, Higher Self, energy, transformation, portals, manifestation and magic.
These ideas are offered as creative, philosophical or personal frameworks for exploration.
No artwork, book, coaching material or website content guarantees healing, communication with another person, manifestation of a particular outcome, financial gain or any other specific result.
What you perceive, discover or make meaningful remains wonderfully your own.
Personal information is handled in accordance with the website’s Privacy Policy.
