PLAY GODASS is the written map behind the world I create as PLAy the Artist. Through memoir, synchronicities, spiritual curiosity and very human detours, it explores the Ass, Badass and Godass modes shaping how we react, strive and create.
My artworks continue the same exploration in physical form, transforming overlooked objects, memories, language and happy accidents into unexpected possibilities. The book reveals how I see; the art reveals what that way of seeing can become.
Play Godass: Discover the Hidden Map to a Magical Life is not your standard self-help guide; it’s a treasure map disguised as a book. It’s also a love letter - to your Higher Self, to the synchronicities that wink at you, and to the part of you that already knows how magical you are. Packed with real stories, playful wisdom, metaphysical mischief, and the occasional creative detour, Play Godass is your backstage pass to living in full colour. Think of it as your GPS for joy, one that runs on curiosity, courage, and a little cosmic flirtation.
💬 What They’re Saying
“Synchronicities are your Higher Self winking at you.”
“The map to your magic was never lost; you were just looking in the wrong pocket.”
“Warning: May cause spontaneous joy, creative surges, and an irresistible urge to follow your excitement.”
📖 Inside the Treasure Map, You’ll Discover:
How to spot the breadcrumbs of magic hiding in plain sight.
The three modes you switch between: Ass-Mode, Badass Mode, and Godass Mode, and how to live from the one that changes everything.
Why synchronicity isn’t coincidence, it’s communication.
Playful tools to re-wire your mind for joy and possibility.
How to turn life’s messiest moments into your brightest magic.
💛 Why You’ll Love It
If you’ve ever felt the universe was trying to tell you something and you want to know what, this book is for you. If you crave adventure without the jet lag, transformation without the heaviness, and inspiration without the preachiness, this is your kind of map.
The same spirit runs through my art: audacious colours, curiosity, and the possibility that something ordinary might turn out to be marvellous.

PLAY is Patrycja Lucyna Altyńska, a Polish-born, London-based artist, author, word player, transformational coach and occasional speaker who sometimes has something rather important to say.
One day, Patrycja discovered an unexpected acronym hiding in plain sight within her own name:
Patrycja Lucyna Altyńska… and Y Yellow, the colour that had begun following her around like a particularly persistent stalker.
It felt less like inventing an artistic identity and more like discovering a message that had been waiting for her since birth. So she decided to live up to it.
Not because life had always been particularly playful. Her journey has included depression, heartbreak, financial upheaval, identity loss and the painful reality of interrupted motherhood and physical separation from her children across continents.
In other words, PLAY did not emerge because life was one enormous glitter-covered playground.
PLAY was not frivolous. PLAY was medicine.
It became her way of transforming pain into possibility, ordinary objects into extraordinary stories and apparent disasters into suspiciously interesting conclusions. Through various meditation practices, creative exploration, spiritual investigation and a relentless curiosity about what else might be possible, she began finding hidden gifts in places where life appeared to have forgotten to leave any.
From this journey emerged Play Godass and the Godass: the divine hue-man within all of us, coloured by every experience yet free to decide what those colours become next.
Today, PLAY brings together art, psychology, spirituality, metaphysics, humour, wordplay and synchronicity to explore how we can interrupt our inherited programming, question the realities we have accepted and play a more conscious part in whatever happens next.
Her miss-I-on is to inspire a world where play becomes conscious transformation, humour becomes wisdom and even a broken path might turn out to be a hidden map wearing a very convincing disguise.
